We are disappointed that there is no end of cycle alarm. I thought all dryers had that. We were not informed by salesperson either. We would have had to pay $480 to upgrade we were told. Also the dryer does not want to start when set on Max. You have to turn it a little past max. It also seems like the door almost needs to be slammed to close.

The heavy duty cycle is so much faster than my old washer. The eco cycle saves water if you want that option. The controls are simple dials and intuitive to use. The machine just feels solid. We got this because it fit into the smaller space we have.
I like having the lint trap in the front. Easy to clean & remember to clean. But I wish it had a cover. I have to remember to empty it before I remove the laundry. Otherwise laundry will slip into the lint trap & get lint all over it.

On install the dryer was making noise, Installer advised "Normal" for Speed Queen dryers. After about 6 months the noise never went away. to shorten the story after 4 service calls, they replaced the rollers, Drum, Front bulkhead, a shaft and the roller again. As of this review its working fine but after talking to Kalona Appliance barn, they advised we needed more repairs before Speed Queen would consider replacement. Considering that this is a commercial quality dryer, it is very efficient and dries quickly. Although it is expensive compared to other brands, itis a power house. I waited a month to give my review so that I can give an honest assessment. So far, it has been amazing. I LOVE my dryer. I also have a Speed Queen washer, and I also LOVE it. There is no comparison between Speed Queen's products and other washers and dryers. Speed Queens quality is second to none. I actually tried to buy a less expensive dryer made by a competitor, and it was a piece of junk, I returned it immediately and spent the extra $ on the Speed Queen and I am so glad I did. Definitely worth the extra money because it will be reliable and last. I just wish they made kitchen appliances as well, but their focus just on laundry is probably why their product is so superior.
