    Went to appliance store to look at over the range microwave.Left with Electrolux over the range microwave and an Electrolux induction range.Microwave works fantastic.I have also used the convection oven option and it worked very well.Very sleek front that is so easy to clean. No front handle to have to clean around.Love the all stainless steel interior.Still getting used to all the functions but it is for the most part very intuitive.Very happy with my purchase.     Our kitchen was completely remodeled and our ELECTROLUX has completely exceeded all expectations. Although I did not know the ELECTROLUX brand, I selected it primarily because I was looking for a sleek, modern microwave look (not one with knobs and a side handle) that was also a convection oven. I am thrilled that its minimum band of stainless steel on the top is not overstated and works well with other stove top brands. The mostly black exterior is sleek and the "buttons" are subtle yet the interior is very bright. This microwave has lots of functionality that I haven't even used yet.     I purchased this make and model because I needed a new microwave in a short period of time. My kitchen contractor was ready to install the microwave and the original make and model I ordered was not available. I literally bought the Electrolux model because it was one of the few microwaves in stock on short notice. It™€™s beautiful looking however, the cost was 4 times that of the original microwave I ordered. I liked that it is also a convection oven, a feature that appealed to me since my kitchen was being remodeled and I did not have access to a stove or oven. I will say, as a convection oven it is very disappointing. Baking times take much longer than in a range convection oven. On top of that, once the oven has been preheated and the food placed inside, you have to set the baking time. When the time has been completed the oven shuts off even if the food is not done. Testing food for doneness at the end of the baking time is a problem, because so much heat escapes, the oven has turned off, and you still need more baking time. So, then you have to go through preheat all over again to get the oven back to the required temperature, and try to figure out how much more time is needed and hope your muffins can finally finish baking. I have yet to figure out the necessary adjustments for temperature and time. What a hassle. In addition, the cornbread, biscuits, and muffins I made remained pale and did not brown. The directions say to use the round wire rack during convection baking for good air circulation. You cannot turn off the turntable when using convection baking, so you need to make sure you use a round or small square pan so the pan can rotate on the turn table. (Ironically you can only turn off the turntable during microwave cooking, not convection baking.) Note: once you have used the wire rack for baking it will be HOT, so don™€™t expect to use the microwave feature until the rack is cool enough to remove and set aside safely. The oven does come with a wire rack that mounts on the side walls. The manual says it is for cooking multiple layers of food. They offer no explanation as to how to do that. I used this wire rack when baking biscuits while the turn table spun below. The manual indicates that it is possible to combine microwave with convection cooking. I have not tried this feature and they don™€™t indicate which foods are best cooked this way. I probably will not use this feature. This over the range model has a ventilation fan. Unfortunately, the fan is in the middle of the unit and the 4 burners on my range are located at the edges of my range. The fan is NOT strong enough (even on high) to pull the steam to the center, so steam from pans flows on both sides of the microwave and onto the cabinets and across the front of the microwave steaming up the glass door. What a poor poor design. This is a BIG problem as over time the steam will damage my new cabinets. Bottom line, other than looks, I do not recommend this microwave.     Great Microwave Not So Good Convection Oven

    I've tried several times to cook via convection and combination (microwave & convection) and came up with disappointing results. For an oven that costs this much I'd expect it to come to temp fast and maintain it. I tried to cook at 400 degrees and the oven never got to that temp even after 30 minutes of pre-heating.     I purchased this to replace a Siemens/Bosch microwave that I had for 15+ years. This one has the ability to convection cook & microwave but it's missing a few bells and whistles. I really miss the programmable light timer to have the light come on at night a turn off after a few hours. I also wish this had an option for the Warm/Hold function to choose between microwave, convection & combination warming. Otherwise I really can't complain, it's a very stylish looking above my stove and the exhaust fan is very powerful.     Aesthetically pleasing from the very clean view from the front. The entire front face is the door, and the completely flush touch controls are integrated into the door. It's perfectly flat, black and sleek but for the lettering for the controls. This is a plus design feature because there are no moving parts in the controls, and no openings around any buttons - all flush glass surface. Why does this matter? Because with years of use over a cooktop those little openings get filled with crud and foul the little mechanical switches on the circuit board behind the front facing user control panel. It looks great!It does everything a microwave should do. No worries or problems whatsoever. One thing I noticed that's kind of cool, while running it did not interfere with wifi/bluetooth when I was standing in front of it - quite unlike the eyesore with failing controls it replaced.     I just got this microwave to replace another one that was less then 30 days old. The other microwave had the worst exhaust I have ever seen. Electrolux has a very strong exhaust for the stove! No more condensation on my microwave, back splash, and in-between my glass microwave door. The LED lights are amazing (extremely bright)! The buttons are very easy to use, too.     Be careful on installation height

    My daughter rexcently purchased this microwave as a replacement. The instructions showed an installation height of 16 1/2 inches which is what the old one was. Since existing space was set up for 16 1/2 inches to top of tile backsplash, I proceeded to install back rail at 16 1/2 inches above tile without using the template provided, After many unsucessful attempts to install , I checked depth and found it was 17inches. Dimension in instructions is in error ! I had to put filler above tile and move back rail 1/2" lower and redrill holes in upper cabinet to install. Tok me 4 hours to install.     They say the kitchen is ™€œthe heart of the home™€ and that couldn™€™t be more true. We are starting to do some updates to our kitchen and the first thing we wanted were new appliances. We loved the look and functionality of this coordinating range and over the range microwave. It will definitely add some class and character to our kitchen. When it arrived I noticed right away that we had made a fantastic choice. Right off I liked the clean look of the full width glass front. The controls are all easily accessed and are arranged along the bottom. The individual controls are clear and intuitive (easy ™€“ I like that). For even more ease of use, there is an easy-to-read quick start guide printed (not just a sticker) right inside the door. The full width door has its handle hidden all along the right side behind the glass front. The inside is gorgeous in stainless steel. With the ability to use convection cooking I am looking forward to learning combination convection and microwave cooking skills. Last but not least, the surface lighting provided by the lights underneath does a fantastic job of lighting up the cooking surface below. We made the perfect choice for our family.     Absolutely love this microwave but especially the way it looks! I love the hidden handle and it is super easy to use. The inside menu guide breaks everything down for you in one place. As a baker I love the melt/soften feature in case you forget to pull your butter or cream cheese, no problem!     We replaced our kitchen appliances with all Electrolux products and the microwave is our favorite one. Even though it takes the same space on the outside as our old unit, the inside so much bigger. The panel is easy and user friendly. So far, it's powerful and heating things evenly.
