    Solid fridge I think its worth it if its on sale. Wouldnt pay 3k for it. Ice maker could be designed better as some ice cubes clump together and the auger cant break them apart without some human assistance.     One year and 1 month in my opinion regarding this refrigerator is mixed. We have a similar LG at our other residence and both seem to be premium and very functional. However this particular unit began producing large amounts of ice and frost in the freezer which required a service call to fix. That was about a month ago and so far so good but any time a large purchase item requires service so soon in its service life gives one pause.     I bought this refrigerator two weeks ago. It has been a solid purchase so far. I have not had the problems that others have had with motor or noise. Ice maker works great. As far as clumping ice after sitting a while like a week. All ice in all models do that. You can stir a little and they break apart or dump and remake. It makes ice fast Great storage. I packed freezer in vertical rows as others have that I read.     The refrigerator is very nice. I dont really get the need for an ice tray in the freezer since there is only an ice maker in the door but I guess it might come in handy. Two things I wish were a littler different/improved: 1 I wish it made ice a little faster it keeps up with just the family but it will likely be an issue for parties. 2 I wish they listed the minimum clearance for the door to swing open not to open 90 or fully but just to open.     It has an amazing internal space and although it is a counter-depth refrigerator I can fit more stuff than my previous standard depth one. The only issue is that after about 6 months I started to hear some noises and exactly 1 year and 1 day after the purchase date the noise was really loud and I had to call the warranty. Thank God I bought it from Costco and got a 2-year warranty. The technician installed the bottom drawer with a little gap and it cause ice to form inside the refrigerator causing performance issues and noise. Thats still a little noisy therefore not 5-stars.     Problems in less than a year

    Condenser iced over and ruined the freezer fan just before the year mark. Despite there being a service bulletin known issue to LG the replacement part was backordered with no ETA. We spent 3 weeks without a fridge and LG didnt care. Customer support was offshore and had trouble understanding the explanation of the issue. Communication with the repair tech was also an issue with customer support giving me different info on part status than they gave the tech. A little plastic piece that holds the door shut also broke. I replaced myself to avoid the pain of customer support. The fridge also leans backward which is normal according to the manual as it aids with the doors closing. However its a noticeable lean and looks unnatural. Short story Ill never buy another LG refrigerator. Originally posted on lg.com
