    We upgraded from an older Whirlpool model that was supposedly less cubic feet than this GE model. We opted for no door water/ice dispenser because, kids. First off, it is SO NOISY. The freezer makes a very loud whirring sound that you can hear in the next room over when it is cooling. Speaking of the freezer, the handle was super hard to install. So much so that it scratched the finish but still pops off if you pull on it the wrong way. The way the top drawer is designed to fit into the bottom drawer is kind of strange.. so they both pull out together but to push the top drawer back in it has to pop back up onto the tracks so that makes it super noisy when pushing the upper drawer back in. Next, I have the upper fridge set to 39 but it still freezes things that are in the back of the fridge. The cheese/meat drawer is super shallow and the fruit veggie drawers don't seem to hold that much either. We eat a lot of vegetables but I don't have enough space to store them, especially because it the fridge freezes things. The instructions were not really clear as far as water line installation. Luckily we were able to figure it out but we cannot be the only ones who struggled with it. The internal water dispenser is ok, the button is really hard to push and the flow is very slow. We don't even use it, to be honest. In conclusion, I am not really all that happy with it. If I could return it, I would. It is pretty and makes my kitchen look great.     Our favorite features of the fridge is the color and how quiet it is. The size is perfect. We like that it has an internal water dispenser, however it does not have a water jug that is filtered. The temperature controls are a bit interesting, you have to cycle through all the available degree settings to get back to a lower temperature. So it starts at 37F then goes up to 44F then restarts at 34F. We assumed we could select a degree or use arrows like most models, but they weren't an option. It was intuitive to me, then, to cycle through because its dangerous to have a fridge above 41F even though the GE recommended highest is 44F, so I realized it must cycle back. So people are aware because the reason we had to do this was it was accidently changed from 37F to 40F. 37F is the best recommended temperature, I would definitely keep it there.     The space for the interior of the refrigerator is absolutely amazing. There is plenty of space. The downside to this is that the freezer is a bit small, and because of design, everything is stacked on each other, so sometimes it is hard to see what you have unless you dig through it.     Purchased this fridge from Costco and it's a huge fridge so definitely need a lot of space (width-wise). The water dispenser is INSIDE the fridge and it doesn't affect me since I always have tap water anyway. However, my husband who is a cold water drinker hates it. We discussed it prior to buying and he said it will be fine but after using it for 6 months he wishes we got the one with the dispenser outside. That is the ONLY con we see so far. The bottom freezer drawers have plenty of space and fill it up completely. And there is one adjustable shelf space in the fridge so you can fit huge items.     Love the color! The matte finish is fingerprint resistant (not fingerprint proof) so a quick swipe with a damp cloth gets rid of any spots on the surface. The capacity of the fridge is great. We had a large Maytag before, but this is even larger and the ability to adjust shelves makes it perfect for us. The freezer has great storage. The only negative is that if you don't hold the freezer handle in the right spot, it will come off. It's easy to reinstall, but it is an inconvenience at times.     I love the sleek look of this fridge. The water on the inside keeps doors looking nice. The ice bin in drawer does take up freezer room but I knew that going in to it.     Quick space shelf bracket failed after 2 years

    The refrigerator refrigerates adequately. The Quick space shelf design has never seemed robust and broke 1 month after the two year warranty ended under normal household use. Originally posted on www.ge.com

    New refrigerator

    We bought this GE replacing a Samsung that the paint was falling off and didn't keep temperature. So far the refrigerator is very roomy, I may of put the ice maker up top now that we have this one. It is a little bit loud, but has a larger compressor than others.
